Weekly Press Advisories
The NORML Foundation sends out a weekly fax/email press advisory to 1,700 media outlets summarizing newsworthy developments surrounding challenges to the marijuana laws. It also provides information to Policy.com, a site used by Congress.

Journey for Justice
The NORML Foundation financially sponsors wheelchair protests "in which several seriously ill patients who use medical marijuana wheel themselves across" states to state capitols "to protest that they cannot legally obtain their medical marijuana."

Court Challenges to Marijuana Laws
The NORML Foundation employs a staff attorney to help individuals and their attorneys challenge marijuana laws. Such challenges include the "medical marijuana necessity defense," search and seizure laws, drug testing issues, three strikes and you're out laws, and others. The foundation also provides expert trial witnesses, assists with appeals, and files amicus curiae briefs in relevant cases.

Referrals and Defense Funds
The NORML Foundation refers people arrested on marijuana charges to attorneys with the NORML Legal Committee, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and state branches of the American Civil Liberties Union. It establishes defense funds and collects and holds money in these funds to pay attorneys and provide expert witnesses in marijuana trials. In partnership with the Drug Policy Foundation, the NORML Foundation has established the Medical Marijuana Support Fund to cover expenses of providing expert witnesses in medical marijuana trials throughout the country.
