Tips for Parenting

Post a Family Calendar

A good way to keep your family connected is to write everything down on a large, central calendar. "Everything" includes soccer practice, hair appointments, work schedules, family outings and vacations, camp, dentist appointments - all of it, for everyone. If you start this as soon as your children can read or write (or even before!), it will become routine and you can better monitor your child's plans as he or she gets older and more independent. At earlier ages, it will help your child feel more connected to you simply by knowing where you are.
