Mission
To provide national leadership in the development of policies, programs and services to prevent substance abuse, CSAP carries out its mission through the following strategies:
- Develops and disseminates prevention knowledge;
- Identifies and promotes effective substance abuse prevention programs;
- Builds capacity of States, communities, and other groups to apply such knowledge effectively; and
- Promotes norms supportive of prevention of substance abuse at the family, workplace, community and national levels.
