Profile

As National Families in Action's Controller, Mr. Dickerson handles and organizes all of the day-to-day financial matters for the organization and the Parent Corps®. Specifically he makes sure that all the bills and taxes are paid accurately and on time and everyone receives paychecks and insurance. Additionally he is responsible for maintaining federal compliance with all of our financial transactions. With his corporate sector background Mr. Dickerson is enjoying the challenges and opportunities associated with a not-for-profit organization.

Before joining the National Families in Action team in 2003, Mr. Dickerson held logistics and financial/tax positions with Wolf Camera & Video, Lodgian [a hotel holding company] and CH2M Hill [an engineering firm specializing in water treatment]. His range of experience encompasses everything from computer programming and how to move a piece of equipment as large as your car across the country to multimillion-dollar risk analysis and how to file hospitality-tax returns.

His passion is music and he is classically trained in organ performance. An avid singer, he performs regularly with the Cathedral of St. Phillip’s Cathedral Choir and the Festival Singers of Atlanta.

Mr. Dickerson received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Piedmont College (Georgia).
