What This Guide Contains
Welcome to National Families in Action's Guide to NFIA Projects. This guide provides information about various projects the organization has undertaken.

Inner-City Families in Action (FIA)
National Families in Action produced this award-winning program in two Atlanta public-housing communities with a demonstration grant from the U.S. Center for Substance Abuse Prevention. The program helped parents on welfare prevent drug abuse in their families and communities.

Club HERO
Building on our work in inner-city Atlanta, National Families in Action developed and implemented this 5-year demonstration grant, creating an after-school program for middle school students run by teachers and parents.

American Cities Against Drugs (ACAD)
With Atlanta Mayor Bill Campbell, National Families in Action organized this conference for the nation's mayors to oppose drug legalization and commit their cities to finding positive solutions to the drug problem. Conference recommendations were adopted by the U.S. Conference of Mayors to supplement their drug policy. Hundreds of mayors have signed The Atlanta Resolution incorporating these recommendations.
