Fragrance ads offensive
SUE RUSCHE

National Families in Action calls on families who care about young people to stop buying Calvin Klein products. Calvin Klein is glamorizing heroin addiction in ads for its new fragrance, "cK be." According to Teenage Research Unlimited, Calvin Klein is the No. 3 brand among teenagers. Calvin Klein cannot be unaware that ads portraying "drug chic" will influence young people's decisions.

After seeing Calvin Klein's ads in fashion magazines and on TV, we will no longer buy Calvin Klein products. We ask other families to join us.

Rusche is the executive director of National Families in Action, in Atlanta.
